Hanging Washing Yoga Meditation

Steps

  1. Choose a sunny day.
  2. Wash your clothes in the washing machine.
  3. Place your wash into a basket and take it outside to the Australian Hills Hoist situated in your private garden surrounded by beautiful vegetation (symbolising care for the environment).
  4. Place your peg hangers on the line for easy reach
  5. Grab your first garment elegantly, place it on the clothes line in correct order.
  6. Place smalls & underwear in the middle section away from prying eyes (symbolising modesty).
  7. Arrange two garments to share 3 pegs instead of 4 (symbolising sharing)
  8. Medium garments go in middle. Choose the colour of the peg at random (symbolising chance).
  9. Bed sheets are pegged over two lines to air (symbolising bridging to the Goddess).
  10. Shirts & dresses are placed at 4 directional points (North, East, West, South). No need to iron. Spend some time making sure seams are straight and collars are tidy.
  11. Allow sunshine to give radiance to your clothes.
  12. When clothes are dry, place them in a basket putting items with hangers last to prevent crumbling.
  13. Place clothes straight into the wardrobe and cupboards in an organised fashion (teaches practicality and meditational thought).
